Dedicated to the memory of John White

John Joseph White

31.01.1961 - 16.03.2020

John was known to many people.

He was a wonderful son, a magnificent brother and a loving partner. His kindness, humour and support will be so missed.

He gave his all to his role as Centre Manager of the Cherry Tree in Liscard, using his job to support the community and many, many charities.

His death has come at a difficult time for all, when the national response to the coronavirus has made it impossible for us to hold a public funeral for John. We know many of you would have wanted to attend.

Instead, please share with us your memories and photos. We also welcome any donation you can make in his memory to the Guide Dogs.

Ange & Cyril

I'm so sad to here the news. I worked for John in the 80s at thrifty’s with Joan & Tina when he was with Chris.we had so much fun. Our Christmas nights out where a hoot. He introduced me to Brandy and we had many conversations about it. John was a great friend and we spent some great times together. I recall him and Joan coming on a canal boat holiday with us. We would sit and fish and put the world to rights. I kept in touch with John &Joan even when they went to London to live and became a bus driver. The tales he would tell me would have me in stitches. We used to laugh at the twirleys he would call them. When the OAPs would try and get on the bus before 9:30 with their passes and say “are we too early”.We went down and stayed with them. They came back to Wallasey after a few years. John met colin and not long after John got the Managers job at Cherry Tree. We kept in touch throughout the years. We used to talk to Cyril about cars, we would chat about the cars he had owned. We spoke before Christmas and I took him a gift. He looked tired. He said that when his new assistant eventually came he would look forward to planning some trips to Dubai to see his bro and take some well deserved time off. I am so sad for his family to have lost such a great man far far to early. I’m so sad to have lost him as a friend RIP John
